This book is born in me from a mixture of feelings. The first is sadness - because I look very closely at women who remain motionless, although, paradoxically, they are in constant motion.

In conversations with friends, in the stories of participants of the workshops I run, in letters from readers of "The Tender Guide", the theme of living in entanglement, living a life that is not your own, keeps coming back. This makes me feel a great loss, some complete senselessness. Then there is outrage. And - finally - hope that we can meet and that this meeting will be important for both you and me. I see it as a kind of joint journey in search of inner freedom - not the freedom that someone would hand to you or me, but the freedom that we can find inside ourselves.
